Mail Online beta launch

Did anyone catch the beta launch of the new Mail Online website?

It's only available office hours Monday to Friday at the moment.

The Guardian is not too keen.

It's definitely cleaner than the older version.

What does anyone else think?

Trust Guardian journos to get bitchy!!! Oooooh... Handbags at dawn behind the cathedral, eh?

I'll have a look at the new Mail site when the world is awake!

I think it's an improvement, I like the layout but there's a lot of scrolling to the bottom. Probably too many headlines.

I have to agree with Darren about the looooooong scroll but it certainly looks good and the right hand side links work really well.... By the way... had a great laugh with the link to Britain's Got Talent... pity there was no mention of Star Wars! X

I agree with the comments on the Mail beta site - the legth of the scroll is quite amazing! But the wiser page and cleaner space make a big difference.

The new Travel Mail homepage look probably won't arrive until the end of the year and we won't be getting rid of the stripey blue background . . .
